Family & Youth Initiative (DCFYI) is a local DC non-profit that connects teens in foster care with adults who become their support systems, ensuring teens have adults to rely on for advice, guidance, affection, and a sense of belonging. Every day DCFYI is connecting teens, creating families, and forever changing lives for the better. Your support will put caring adults in the lives of teens in foster care.

We have a dollar for dollar match so every donation (up to $1,000) will go twice as far in helping DCFYI connect teens and caring adults.

Because of you, teens will not remain in foster care until they age out alone.

Feeds 30 teens at an event; teens do like to eat! - $ 100.00

Trains 8 mentors to establish safe & supportive relationships with teens in care - $ 250.00

Funds a special activity like bowling, where teens & adults can meet, have fun, and get to know each other - $ 500.00

Supports one teen's participation with DCFYI for a year - $ 1,000.00
